Parisian Pink
And for me to ooh and ahh over the dress I’ve been saving for Paris ever since I found it maybe 10 years ago in a vintage shop!
It’s safe to safe the dress felt perfectly Parisian and it was truly a fantasy to wear it out for our first night in Paris!
Miss at the Ritz
Before dinner we made it to the Ritz for a fancy, and honestly an obnoxiously overpriced cocktail, at the well known Bar Hemingway. I have no judgement for anyone planning to pay a visit, but it would have been easy to miss for me given I’d much rather prefer a nice hotel bar with live music anywhere else in Paris.
But the white rose was cute for a photo.
Dinner in 1930
Our dinner reservation, however, at Lapérouse, did not disappoint.
Stationed within multiple historic salons frequented by many famous writers, this storied restaurant has been around since well before the 30’s and you truly feel that upon entry off the busy boulevard, a time travel moment I must say!
Upon entering we were greeted by a fabulous bar adorned with a pinky damask fabric that continued all the way onto our place setting, that I wish I could have taken home! Lit dimly by red candlelight Arthur and I felt like we were transported into a romantic novel until the singer/pianist starting serenading the room with Taylor Swift lyrics; much appreciated by moi!
I loved my truffle pasta and the flaming fish Arthur ordered, I would most certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a truly glamorous evening in Paris!
Did I mention the bathroom wallpaper?? I must find it and tattoo it to my forehead because these are perhaps the most opulent lobsters I’ve ever seen.
And that’s a cuff..
After a quick outfit change to something a little more Paris after dark if you will, me and my big gorgeous cuffs made our way to an upscale Parisian club, Matignon, which is only good if you snag a table inside.
We then made our way to Hotel Costes for a nightcap in their red lounge before turning in for the night!
