In advance of the 4th of July holiday weekend I planned a little date with the hottest reservation in town.
Â
We arrived about an hour and a half before sunset, the best time in my opinion given how chilly it can get in southern California after dark.
Â
Â
The setup was quite simple actually, just a beach blanket, table runner and my woven basket filled with goodies, turned upside down upon arrival. The best picnic table hack my darlings. Â And making carrying the pre-assembled snack board extremely simple!
Â
Â
Â
Â
Â
Menus are complicated so I stuck to the basics with colorful spread of delightful veggies, dips and cheese. Pink champs in assuming, yet stunning glasses.
Â
Â
Â
Â
We ate, we sipped, we sunned. It was a short but well spent couple of hours, the one gift of COVID-19, the release of FOMO and albeit, my beloved supperclubs with my girlfriends.Â
Â
Â
So while the world is forcing us to keep things simpler, I am finding a way to make the most of it. No big 4th of July plans for us over here, but I promise you, I’m pretty okay with it. Hope you are too.Â
