Especially when pairing champs and cheese, the perfect meal on a candlelit, chiller evening tucked under a comfy throw.
I’m no newbie to fondue, it’s my favorite wintertime meal (even in Los Angeles) and so if you want more info on how to setup fondue, see my guide here.
I wanted to embrace spooky season with a overflowing wax wine bottle candle holder, using this guide that was super helpful.
Tips for overflowing wax wine bottle candle holders
- Make sure you purchase DRIP candles, (not dripless) so the wax melts over the wine bottle.
- Let the drip candles melt ahead of time over the bottle (will take 30-45 minutes depending on how much wax you want dripped over the bottle) before your event.
- Use a coaster or aluminum foil underneath the bottle to prevent wax melting on your table, trust me I learned this the hard way with my friend’s bachelorette table!
- Use dripless candles for the actual dinner so they last longer after you’ve created the effect you want.
My family and I had the best night dipping our favorite fondue accouterments like day old sourdough, baby potatoes, apples and veggies into my vintage fondue pot. It’s a very fun meal for a small group or appetizer and can be made with or without wine.
So I reset the table the next day to snap some photos of my spread for your inspiration, cheers! xx
