To make it cozy I laid some blankets down in between the big kids table and the snacks and sweets so we could all gather around Parker while Peter, Parker’s music class teacher, played familiar tunes for us all to enjoy on his guitar.
After Parker settled in with everyone Peter did a little set for him and his baby friend to jam out. Parker started his class around 4 months and we loved it before we found a toddler program. If you’re in the LA area I would highly recommend getting in touch with him!
As always I kept the guest list small and the spread big.
I couldn’t help but make this event a good reason to finally snag a sushi boat for Arthur to roll his creations onto at our next cocktail party. Of course my contribution was a grazing cheese board but I also transformed Parker’s market stand into Parker’s Pâtisserie, perhaps my single most important contribution to his life yet, outside of actually giving him life.
Parker’s Pâtisserie featured plant based pastries from Ladurée, flower pressed cookies and of course cake! I designed the sign myself on Canva and then had it printed locally on poster mounted foam board.
Suffice to say it was a hit, and Parker’s Pâtisserie is still in business in his playroom, as is my fabulous pom pom party headband that I know you’re already jealous of.
Of course Parker didn’t seem to like the personalized crown I ordered for him several months in advance as much as I did, we got about 2.5 seconds with it on and I’ll be wearing it to his graduation.
In addition to the tiny bits of real sugar from his cake and the Parker sized guitar we found for him!
And some mini bottles of champs for the rest of us, leftover cake for moi!
