This 4th of July was a lovely day on our rooftop patio with a mix of both American and Italian classics, like fresh pesto pasta, olives, spritz and buffalo mozzarella, as well as fresh veggies and burgers on the grill, topped off with a visit to the local gelato shop to commence the lazy holiday at home. The weather was perfectly bright and sunny, our toddler beyond ready for bath and bed right on time, my husband and I didn’t feel one bit of envy hearing the fireworks right outside our window while glued to our bed before 9pm, completely satisfied by the days events!
But most importantly my Amalfi plates have just made their long awaited debut! It’s taken me several summers, unfortunately, to procure these beautiful fish and pasta plates but it was worth the struggle because after two failed attempts and multiple delays from the Italian manufacturers I finally found a good company who shipped the perfect set in record time.
Although there are many on the market now, I highly recommend these two shops in particular here and here for their perfect color ways and reputable business practices, including shipping times to the US. Trust me, I’ve done the work to find the perfect shades of Amalfi life and expectations of American consumers!
Cheers to more lazy afternoons under the pergola, hope you find a way to snag some Italian inspired summer too. Hope you had a happy 4th and great rest of summer. Xx
