As is Christmukkah for me.
At the end of every year I have the pleasure to celebrate not one, but two of the best holidays of the season; three if you count the significance of New Year’s Eve for my Russian family members!
Typically we celebrate Christmas and Hanukkah separately, given the eight nights of Hanukkah land on varying dates so any and all overlapping of the two feels extra special.
Last time the two coincided I went all out with my colorful Christmukkah table and I am proud to say this year Hanukkah starts on the 25th, making this one extra, extra special.
So naturally I had to go all out, and since I’ve been dreaming of London at Christmastime, I figured I’d make my own mini version.
London is known for their ornate and opulent decorations on the streets of the magnificent city as well as inside the fabulous shops, hotels and private clubs. But most notable to me are the ultra chic restaurants dressed in head-to-toe glam, from gorgeous tablescapes all the way up to the decadent displays hanging from the ceiling!
So in the spirit of Christmukkah (and my love of pink of course) the pergola’s gotten a bit of a makeover for the season. Decked out with shimmering garland, warm lights and colorful ornaments we alas have our own little holiday soirée at home, for every festive night of the season.
And I hope that whatever way you celebrate this time of year you feel seen and joyful, just as I did creating this extra pink tablescape, happy holidays everyone. Xx
