ABOUT LAST NIGHT: MYKONOS MEETS BEVERLY HILLS

[bigletter]Well we managed a little night out on the town to celebrate my birthday just the two of us, even though we had meant to go with another couple, but plans changing appears to be the new theme of 2021. I set us up at Avra, which is the closest you’ll get to a Mykonos Beach Club in Southern California, located right in the center of Beverly Hills. It’s quite a place, buzzing about with people who like to dress, see and be scene while they munch on pricey appetizers. The food is great, albeit salty, and the atmosphere is worth it if you have a booth facing the center of the dining room and love watching waiters artfully debone a fish. We sat out on the patio per request for some air flow amongst this new delta variant scare and enjoyed watching everyone come on in and strut their stuff as we munched on the delectable Avra chips which are an absolute must. And although the night didn’t start out as I had hoped I was obsessed with my outfit inspired by our honeymoon in Greece, which will always cheer me up. That and two French 75s followed by a lively conversation about the concept of sugar baby websites with my husband and a deep dive into my saganaki. But before heading back to baby we decided to grab a nightcap at my favorite spot, the fabulous bar at Hotel Bel-Air, where we caught the very last set of live tunes before both the double bass and ourselves hit our limit of fun and were in need of retiring to back to bed before 11pm! Oh the joys of getting older, #32.[/bigletter]
