CLASSIC STYLE: WHITE SUMMER DRESSES

Well it’s no secret that summer is undoubtedly my favorite time of year… As most people would likely agree, nothing is better than the season of warmth and relaxation, travel and causal togetherness. Of course my August birthday tends to plays a role in my admiration of the time, the excitement of planning and celebrating with friends and family, now also the anniversary of my wedding too. But most likely because I grew up in Chicago, where we all lived for those three months of bliss, truly appreciating the time sans snow.

Of course this year has offered up some major roadblocks to what many of us envisioned. With COVID-19, figuring out how to fully embrace the season the same way has posed a major challenge, limiting our travel plans, backyard barbecues and general sense of stability.

So as I have said before, I am doing everything I can to find joy somewhere, in the safest way possible. Which this weekend manifested in a bike ride in a frilly white dress one would most certainly not assume is fit for physical activity.

But I am happy to report it did and I felt like a million bucks leaving my house with a smidge of foundation and this white floral embroidered organza shift dress. Besides, where else would I have the opportunity to?
