COZY SPRING MORNINGS, WITH MY WEEZIE

[bigletter]Why hello Spring! We’ve been waiting for you as patiently as I do my caffeine buzz each morning.

Lately my morning routine has become increasingly more important to me, now that I work from home. The pandemic has made me much more appreciative for this beautiful space and as I enter my third trimester of pregnancy, it’s safe to assume I’m back in full nesting mode, waiting patiently for what is sure to interrupt some of my most cherished daily patterns, like drinking my coffee in my big fluffy, yummy, WEEZIE![/bigletter]

Now if you aren’t accustomed to the robe life yet my heart goes out to you. Perhaps you like a transition towel or dare I say bite the bullet and go straight from the bed or shower into your outfit of the day. But if you’re like me you probably realized at a very young age, most likely in a hotel room, the pure and simple luxuries afforded to those who wear a comfy, plush robe for no absolute, empirical reason.

I am also a morning person, so the combined result is that elevated comfort doesn’t only come at the Four Seasons, it exists within the everyday. Thankfully I have my favorite towel brand I’ve mentioned before, Weezie, to meet all of those needs.

And can we talk about the importance of contrast piping, especially when it’s pretty pink? AND MONOGRAMMED!

It’s the small things for me that make all the difference, like drinking my iced coffee the way Margaret Josephs served it to the Real Housewives of New Jersey, in a wine glass over ice, with a festive straw.

In the morning, whether it’s coffee or tea, hot or iced, black or with almond milk, it’s the journey for me, not just the destination. Slowly sipping, sifting through highlights and sitting cozy tends to kick start my day in the most promising of ways. A method I now can truly dedicate the appropriate time to as there’s no longer a morning commute involved or much time spent getting ready these days!

And I wonder what time that is for you, that you also create for yourself amid all the tasks and triumphs of the day?

In the morning, hopefully after a workout and shower, is my sweet spot. It’s not always longer than ten minutes but it fairly routinely happens on weekdays and most weekends. Its’ not always with a magazine or croissant and jelly, but it does happen. It’s better with my husband and furry babies, and as I began to contemplate the arrival of this human baby, it’s hopefully time I will spend enjoying with them too one day.

But until then I am savoring every peaceful morning moment, well rested from a full night’s sleep and free of fear of waking up a sleeping baby. Enjoying my perfectly flaky Parisian pastry, flipping through pages of Departure Magazine, my eye caught solidly on the most charming editorialized ad to visit Charleston, a place I’ve been and would love to go back to again, especially during this time of year.

But until travel resumes, my morning destination will have to suffice, in the most plush and cozy of ways thanks to Weezie!
