Today I am featuring the eclectic interior of a more then charming Vermont cottage I found on House Beautiful…this is a perfect example of everything I love about classic architecture intertwined with eclectic/modern decor…
The living room (pictured above) is fresh, inviting and luxe, a great juxtapose to the cozy vibe coming from the rest of the house…and I love the varying shades and textures of white; the linen couch, the cream leather chair, the patent leather, twin ottomans, and the fur grey/white rug, so crisp and beautiful!
Not the most traditional of dining rooms, but this one goes beyond just pretty and functional. The floral wallpaper, rustic, black lacquer chimney, matted, color block rug and modern, white, leather dining chairs somehow all compliment one another, and that is quite a challenge; one conquered here!
This bookshelf has every inch of space covered in everything important; books, pictures, spirits, art, flowers, and more books! It is bright and cheerful, hopefully a great description of the owner’s personality…
And the inspiration continues! What a wonderful work space, perfect for letting the creativity flow…
How quaint and glamorous this bedroom is! Like the rest of the space, eclectic and cozy. Fur throws are a personal favorite of mine and the floral bedding tones keeps the rest of the space from being gaudy; love the mirrored sconce and monogramed pillows…
I would love to jump in this tub! It reminds me of the bathroom from the English cottage in The Holiday…
As much as I admire open, free flowing, pristine kitchens, this one reminds me of my family kitchen in Chicago; it is also red, and without any high tech, steel appliances, perfect for preparing intimate, little dinners, while noshing on my favorite; bread, cheese and wine…
More perfect then an intimate kitchen, the perfect set up for a romantic outdoor dinner party! How sweet would this be with white Christmas lights in the trees at night!
