A few weekends back when I was in Palm Springs I stumbled upon this lovely little slice of design heaven. Per usual Palm Springs the bright, 70s inspired resort destination does not disappoint with many wonderful pockets of color, texture and aesthetics that will get you in the mood for a poolside martini after tennis. Some of my favorite spaces I managed to capture quickly, enjoy!
Perhaps my favorite combination of color and texture here with the pink, green, navy, velvet and stripes oh my! It’s one pattern away from Willy Wonka but it veers just right. I would love to take and seat and wait for my uber here with some friends right after a long day of napping in the sun.
All the green really made me happy and can you spot the little banana leaf print? I just love layering shades on one color together, especially a really rich color like green. The texture and prints just blend so well together here!
And then I found this wonderfully Willy Wonka like walkway. Not quite sure where it lead but perhaps I might have turned into a giant blueberry if I attempted to find out. The deep purple shade would have assisted as a nice accent though.
I LOVE this vibe so much! The emerald and peach combination makes me so happy. I’d love to have a stiff gin and tonic here with a tanned tennis pro after a long day sweating in the sun. Dark saturated and textured walls make me feel very smart, haha, and I think this would make a great study or formal room for company. I think most rooms in a vacation home should be bright and colorful, but perhaps one room can serve as a reminder of our routine and the weight of the real world.
