[bigletter]The holidays are finally behind us and now is the time I like to fully indulge in winter magic. Whatever that means at least while living in year round sunshine in Los Angeles. The reality is that wintertime can no longer be cherished come Fall thanks to global warming and after October when the holidays tend to take precedence. Those cozy, cold afternoons don’t realistically appear in a relaxing way until the celebration season has subsided and we all our left with our sweaters and more time to ourselves. This idle time can either be an opportunity for letdown after rising to the height of merriment of Christmas or the chance for some real routine at home, especially thanks in part this to the omicron variant! My inspiration board was born in September but just started to resonate come January when I can actually feel a draft while sitting at my desk, pondering how I ever lived in a place with real winters that hit below 50 degrees, basking in the absence of places to be sipping my warm coffee with absolutely no desire to be anywhere else but here at home, under a blanket, book in hand at least until my baby wakes up, the girl need to go out and I’m back again on the not-enough-coffee-grindddd.
