I have officially finished my first quarter of graduate school! I am excited to celebrate in some way soon, but right now I am much more excited about a little winter respite…throughout finals I compiled a list of things I would like to do with the free time, here goes…

First on my list, is to sip some champagne from the bottle that has been sitting in my refrigerator for the past month, starring back at me, reminding me that break was soon! No need for a flute, I have plenty of straws…

Second, and perhaps most important, some sleep! All I can say, is it has been too long, can’t wait to sleep in…

Third, a fellow grad student, and friend, in my program always emphasizes the importance of self-care..and after a stressful month of midterms, papers, and final exams my face is definitely in need of a mask, and my nails could use a bit of color, perhaps something bright and festive…

Fourth, I would love to read a book, this time for pleasure rather then school, perhaps a love story or some good fiction, either genre, I would like to do this while lying in bed, perhaps on a morning when I am able to sleep in…

[the artist film via cine clandestino]

Fifth on my list is to see the new indie art film about the journey of a silent film actor, rightfully named, The Artist…and it turns out the film is true to it’s storyline, and has no character dialect, I hope I enjoy it, and soak in some of the nostalgia and glamour Hollywood had to offer in the 1920s…

[real housewives of beverly hills via 3 bp blog]

Sixth on my list; I might as well soak in some modern hollywood glamour too, with Bravo network’s, seriously addictive reality show The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, one of my many guilty pleasures…gotta catch up on the drama…

Seventh; much more blogging! It is one of my absolute favorite things I get to do and I love every minute of it, I want to make Gisele Chic the very best it can be, and I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I!

Eight, I am fortunate enough to be heading back to my hometown Chicago for the holidays and am quite excited about seeing my family, and of course GIRLFRIENDS! I look forward to catching up, reminiscing, and drinking plenty of girly cocktails, both my Chicago girlfriends and fellow sorority sisters and I have been scattered throughout the country, so it shall make for some long, fun and well deserved girls nights out…

Ninth on my list, is something my family and I have done many times during the holiday season, and that is to go and see the decorated windows at the old Marshall Fields building in downtown Chicago…now it is a Macy’s, yet, the famous old clock on the corner still remains…

Tenth, another Chicago holiday festivity is ice skating in Millennium Park, as a child I went every year to the ‘Skate on State,’ not far from the historic Marshall Fields building, however, in recent years this has become the new location, how pretty…

And last on my list; finding a perfect New Years Eve cocktail dress! Now that is a task…

Happy for the Holidays,
