LACQUER LOVE

Two elements of decor I really love are 1. great use of color, of course, and 2. lacquer painted walls…even better when combined….Here are some of my favorite inspirations for a colorful use of lacquered walls in the home…

This room is really the essence of my style. Even though I love almost every single color in the rainbow, blue has been my secret favorite, I could decorate an entire house with blue walls in every room, in varying shades because the color is so rich and so effortlessly cool….This room in particular shows lacquered walls at their finest, in my opinion, and showing off how chic paint can really be…

Orange is wonderful when done properly, and this is quite the example…The lacquered orange against the gold handles makes this door absolutely stunning! Especially for a well sunned home, perhaps in Los Angeles, or Morocco…what a delight!

Black lacquer adds sophistication to any space, but for me libraries showcase it best…

This office is great! I would prefer a bit more color but for an office space I suppose the black and white is much less distracting, better for getting work done…

Most people go for all-white kitchens, but I would consider this one. Its bright and inviting and makes good use of the small space, my family home kitchen in Chicago is all red and not as overbearing as it may seem!

Pink lacquered walls could perhaps go over well in a bathroom or girl’s bedroom, but otherwise I would treat it like orange, a great pop to add anywhere, like this table! Its sugary sweet and gives so much to this otherwise boring space, the only thing I would change are the chairs, the clear style would work better…

This room balances the all out purple well, I am not a fan personally, however I give this space some credit for really getting it all together in a cohesive way…I think the purple would make nice for a walk in closet or even a bathroom, it’s definitely a welcomed challenge in my book…
