[bigletter]Well it’s the end of summer and just the start of celebrations for myself and family. August is jam packed with fun each year as it’s my 33rd birthday, 3rd wedding anniversary and 11th year living in Los Angeles. My whole life everything seems to start and end come the month of August, the height of summer and therefore quite a time for moi! So how does one celebrate their birthday with girlfriends, beyond the traditional birthday lunch? This year’s celebration with the ladies became a rooftop, rosé hued afternoon, with just a bit too much sun, just a smidge too much cake and just the right amount of people to make it great! {sorry the rhymes are never intentional I promise}[/bigletter]
My inspiration involved pink of course, but the intention was more color!
Colorful, cheerful, mid-mid summer. A simple menu of champs, cheese, sushi and cake. Tassel bookmarks turned placecards and flower shaped soy sauce dishes. We used our wine glasses to eat cake and little Parker made an appearance after a round of play in the park. It was hot and wayyy too sunny but I was able to let that go and enjoyed the party right in front of me!
To be honest, the after pictures were my favorite, relaxed and a bit cooler with a sunset to remember with great cake and even greater friends.
Especially Adele who seems to have dressed for Provence!
