MY NEW STATIONERY FROM BASIC INVITE

Of the many tasks I have planning my upcoming wedding, finding a great source for all things paper is becoming more and more important on my to-do list. I am old fashioned when it comes to correspondence, like talking on the phone and saying thank you on paper or writing something thoughtful for a friend on their birthday. So as much as I love online invitations for some things, I certainly won’t be using anything digital for my wedding. From the invitations, save-the-dates, place cards, guest books, thank you notes and new couple stationery, there are so many things to consider and so many details for someone like me who LIVES for the details. Fortunately, I have found a great place to start with Basic Invite. Since I am still about a year out from the wedding, it was a tad early start to plan invitations, but in my opinion, it’s never too early for custom stationery. Since I fully intend to take my fiancĂ©’s last name, I decided to design us some beautiful personalized couples stationery.  Basic Invite had so many options when it comes to monogramming or anything personalized, in addition to a multitude of other preset designs and basically every color of the rainbow. At first I wanted to do a couples monogram, which for anyone who isn’t familiar consists of a the first partner’s initials (historically the wife’s) in a small letter, the couple’s last name initial enlarged and then another small initial for the second partner (historically the husband’s). So for Arthur and I, it’s mSa. However, after perusing all of the font options, I fell in love with this beautiful cursive font option called “win” and decided I’d just use our new joint family name instead! They had so many fonts to choose from but this script just looked so lovely and writing out “The Simanovsky’s” just has a nice ring to it, don’t you think?! The setup process was very simple and everything from the font/color to the positioning of the text was customizable. For the template, I absolutely loved the strong and classic border look of the marbled stationery. I had such a hard time deciding between making a green marble color combination or just a single color hydrangea blue. I loved how many color options there were available and everything was so customizable it made choosing quite difficult! I ultimately decided to keep it super clean and simple but with a nice splash of color. I choose to somewhat color block the text to the border color and I must admit I outdid myself! It just looks so fresh and elegant!

Here are some other beautiful items from Basic Invite I also love below, especially all the monogram wedding invitations!
