I just love pretty paper… and even though I am not one to regularly send hand written notes, I full heartedly want to be! Now that I have a lovely wedding crest, perhaps that will become my formal stationery logo? But let’s go back a minute, before diving into the future. I wrote about creating our save the dates in a previous post, and now I’d like to share the full suite! Once we found a wedding crest designer, we decided to use her for our entire paper selection, including the save the date, invitations, thank you notes, table number signs, escort cards, place cards and menus. I’ve also seen a lot of couples create maps for the wedding weekend, which I think is also a very lovely idea, especially as a mini memento to keep for a scrapbook later! Here’s the entire wedding suite, sans our place cards since I sadly didn’t manage to keep track of them with the remodel. The tablecloth you see here is the same one we rented for our wedding, the blue denim Antibes from La Tavola. Enjoy!
My concept for the design of our invitation came easy to me; a clear and pretty shade of blue, dainty cursive, a clean border. The rest I discovered through Pinterest of course, more to come about finding and executing inspiration in a future post. I immediately loved the idea of the wax seals, and used the same custom crest wax seal from the save the dates for our invitations. The next big detail I cherished was the blue and white illustration of our wedding venue. It took a few attempts to get the right sketch but was absolutely worth it in the end.
If you are wondering, that is my handwriting on each envelope, as I wrote every single one! Including the reply cards too! Unfortunately Mary-Kate and Ashley couldn’t make it, but I’d like to think they would have had a good time. Hand-writing each invitation and save the date address took a good amount of time, but honestly wasn’t that bad with a glass of champs and a few housewives reunion episodes. I collected all our guests’ information using a website called Postable, which generated a link for us to send everyone so we could easily find everything we needed in one place.

For the menu cards and the signature cocktail menu, I couldn’t get past the idea of a chic little illustration. Fortunately our paper designer was very patient and talented, ultimately bringing to life exactly what we wanted. We loved the detail on each cocktail, especially the genius behind The Pierre, a Frenchie 75! (still patting myself on the back for that one). For our place cards we used these adorable watercolor food stickers to indicate guest’s meal preferences. The food menu was little trickier, but I was able to source some good images to send to our designer. Her recreation of the macaron tower was probably one of my favorite things from the whole wedding, aside from the actual macaron tower of course!
