SEE: The Gospel According to Andre, full disclosure, I have already seen it and it was FANTASTIC. I had always known a good amount about Andrè Leon Talley as a fashion icon and major player at Vogue but I never quite understood the depth of what he represented and did for not only the culture of the fashion industry but the culture of America. I really encourage any person too see it, even if you’re not that interested in fashion but rather just interested in seeing the evolution of talented people who take risks and despite adversity create and live their dreams. After seeing the documentary I feel much more inspired then ever before by the intersectionality of fashion, race and culture. I highly recommend!! EAT: My fiancé is making some pretzel bread lobster rolls this weekend just on trend for Memorial Day Weekend and also because I love pretzel bread in any and all forms. Pretzel challah anyone? I am very excited to sip my rosè and eat my heart out like a good American for the long holiday weekend! DO: I am hoping to get a lot of work done this weekend, which might not sound fun but since I happen to love blogging, writing/editing posts for Gisele Chic doesn’t really feel like work! I also am hoping to take a long bike ride, workout and sip some rosè by the beach with friends too. Let’s see how that goes! SHOP: I need to find a wedding guest dress for my friends upcoming nuptials in July. And after my last wedding guest dress (you can still shop it here) I feel like nothing I find will do the same justice. Summer dresses are hard since it’s likely to be hot and I don’t want to be too casual either so I will need to head to some places online and in store to get ideas. Speaking of wedding dresses I am also starting to consider ideas for my own and it’s fun! I have an idea so far of what I’d like but who knows once I start trying things on. If you have any recommendations of stores or website please reach out!
