Since moving to Los Angeles and having to leave behind my old wonderful writing desk and chair in Chicago, I had to find a replacement, after all I am a student…this is the desk I chose…

Finding it was not too difficult, my last one was quite similar, a rich all black wood without the details on the sides, but the chair took quite a while…FINALLY, after three months of going back and forth between a tufted velvet dining chair, and this lucite one, I chose the LOVELY LUCITE….

Since my desk is very simple and traditional, I wanted to shake things up a bit, and that is exactly what this modern chair did…and for a wonderful price!

I plan to get a yellow-gold, velvet cushion for my chair, however after sitting in it all day Friday (studying for midterms) I found it to be quite comfortable, not what you would expect from a chair made out of plastic…

I love how this chair has a patterned seat with lucite legs, its so bright and sweet for this otherwise simple desk space…

I am sure I have shown this image before, perhaps because I am obsessed with every aspect of this room, the lucite table in particular works so well with this space because it appears (or shall I say disappears) to not take up much room, an invisible table! Genius!

The leather/lucite combo is great, and certainly dresses up lucite dinning chairs…

Lucite is becoming the modern glass, and I am all for it…
