[bigletter]As wedding season continues through summer so does my emergence into motherhood and my goodness did it take some time to begin to figure that process out, let alone find such a great wedding guest dress.
It’s been interesting entering back into “normal life” which basically means doing things I used to do before Parker. Essentially life with him is my “new normal” I suppose, which basically means I am just adjusting to that in itself. I have all the same hopes, dreams, fears, losses, excitements, goals, general sense of self, however, I’ve added on an entirely new set of responsibilities, worries, joys, tears, etc. But going to now my second wedding post baby, being thrust back into a sliver of the social life I had before him and the pandemic, is equally electrifying as it is nerve-wracking.
Gone are the days of let’s just stay for another drink let alone the sheer bliss of not worrying about facial coverings and COVID. But alas, getting to talk to old friends, enjoy a couple Monica Marg’s while also consistently checking the baby monitor between trips to the dance floor, is perhaps the recipe for adjusting to this change.
